I have a samsung 120GB harddrive Sata for storage and data. I used to keep my backed up movies in there.. All of a sudden My pc stopped detecting it...I have tried to reinstall it back again but the pc won't detected.... wires and everything is in normal...I backed up a few movies and have deleted a few movies also .................Can a sata drive get corrupted after deleting a lot of movies.???????..

anyway I have a warranty and will replace it soon

Does it show at all in your Devices Manager?
If it's got a yellow triangle try removing it and reboot?
Have you checked or done anything in your CMOS settings at startup?

NO it doesn't show on the device manager. ...and no I havent done anything to the BIOS yet

just wanted to know if they get damage when you delete movies that are almost 4.35GB a lot thanks...

Very rare with a totaly dead hard disk - normaly you will hear some sounds - even if it's damaged. Have you by any chance plugged in both the SATA power connector and the old connector at the same time? If so - that could be the reason for your dead hard disk - it's killed by to much power.

That should not hurt - I do it almost daily on my old steam driven ATA drive.

I'm sorry but what you mean by too much power...
I onlt plugged and unplugged the power conector and the sata cable also....I'm thinking to also buy a new powersupply 500+ watts that has sata cable.....my thermaltake 420+watts doesn't have the sata cable but it has a power connection that is conected to a fan and to another fan....its crazy...cause I'm running 5 fans altogether....maybe its time to upgrade my powersupply and get a decent one....ANY recomandations????????...thanks

as a refference point, double check all the cables/wires 1st on the hdd. they may have come loose.
