    burning error

    could someone tell me how to fix this prob .... never had any problems before till now here is what it says please help.............................Windows XP 5.1

    your media is not friendly with your burner. maybe you need a firmware upgrade.

    also, don't burn at 12x speed. stick to 4x. it's safer.

      i thought i was going to fast ..my media is the sony. Is sony not good could you send me in the right derection for some good media please thank you !

          ok ill stick to making back ups 4x speed i just was in a hurry and thats what i get for trying to burn at 12 but thx for the reply it help!thanks again..

            you're welcome.

            always burn at a lower speed. if you want to experiment with speeds, then increase it gradually till you find the best results.

              yeah i tried 6x

              tried 6 x its great so far backed up 2 movies so far with the 6x and no errors i was backin up 8x and most were fine except for a couple that had gliches in them so ill stay at 6x!!! thx again.

                  can someone help this is the first problem that i haven't been able to fix

                  the error is......i was backing up a dvd of mine got to 100% of encoding then i got this in a windows box

                  Dvd shrink 3
                  this program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down. note: can't get the box to close
