    H.264 video

    Hi all,

I have set up a new video conferencing program on my computer and am collecting the packets that it generates in Ethereal. The video conferencing program generates its stream using the H.264 format.

My question is; I would like to take the stream that it is generating and turn it into some other format (eg avi or mpeg) rather than H.264 as this format is very hard to find players for at the moment.

Basically anything to view raw H.264 (not an avi or mpeg using H.264 as a codec) or to convert it into something else.

    Thanks,

    Richy

That link was great. Who'd have ever thought that you'd need so many tools just to change h264 into something easier to use?

Although I'm running windows most of the time, Solaris is my prefered system so hope some of this works on there.

I'll be downloading and testing them soon.

      Thanks again

Sounds like Apple made some related announcements this week at NAB in Vegas.
