Okay, on the recommendation of several users in the forums I have downloades BeSweet (including the GUI) to convert some MP3 files to wave for later encoding to AC3 to burn on a DVD. I must be a moron though, because BeSweet is not working for me. I followed the commands in the wizard exactly, and all it does is open a notepad document! One I can't make any sense out of at that! WTF!!!! I am getting super frustrated here, can anyone help me?

Yes. Read the FAQ Adam. There's a link in it to BeLight.

To Adam40291
"to convert some MP3 files to wave"
In light of the difficulty you appear to be having using BeSweet, I'd suggest to you that , perhaps, the simplest way to convert an .MP3 file into .WAV format is by using "GoldWave":
1) Open Goldwave
2) "Drag and drop" the .MP3 audio file onto the MAIN GoldWave window
3) Select ".WAV" as the output format
4) SaveComment

Try dBpowerAMP Music Converter Release 11. It's an idiot proof music converter. I'm not saying you're an idiot; I'm simply stating it's ease of use.

Hey, you could be calling me an idiot and I wouldn't care. I just wrapped my head around DVD Backup a week ago, so I'm very new to the Audio end of it. Thanks for your help guys and I'll try it.
My ultimate goal here is to have audio on a DVD+R that I can play in a standalone player (because that's what's hooked up to my stereo) do you think the programs you've given me will allow me to do that?Comment

Most standalone DVD players can play MP3s. Check your user manual.

The standalone players can play MP3's yes, but only if their burned on a CD disc. I want to burn these audio files on a DVD+R. Believe me, if it was as simple as just putting the MP3 files on a DVD and being done, I wouldn't even be here.
That was actually the first thing I tried...I have 3 DVD+R's full of MP3 files, and all of my standalone players come up with a disc error. I read in another thread that so far, standalone DVD players won't read MP3 on a DVD disc yet....that's why I'm doing what I'm doing.
EDIT-dbPowerAmp worked like a charm to convert the MP3's, my new problem is how to author them to a DVD so they'll play in a DVD player.Comment

Yes that's what led me to BeSweet in the first place. I am now attempting to use DVD+Audio Creator, but my first attempt only yielded static on the playback....any advice from anyone?
EDIT-After a failed attempt with DVD+Audio Creator, I am downloading MusicDVDCreator, the fully licensed version, I'll let you all know how it works out.Last edited by Adam40291; 25 Apr 2005, 01:28 AM.Comment
