Strange lines with my AVI files

Hi I having some trouble with a video.

I have AVI files that exhibit some strange behaviours.

    Codec: DVC/DV Video

When there is action within a shot, lines appear, so if my subject moves his arm lines appear while he moves it, when he holds his arm still the line are not there....they also appear whenever the camera moves.

Can anyone explain this to me.

I have tried all sorts of de-interlacing and exporting to other codecs with no promising results

    any help will be appreciated.

    Cheers,

    Pxxx

What type of software player(s) have you used to play the AVI files?

Media player 10 for general playing on the PC, I use premiere 6 for editing and then exporting, the lines are present. But I still get the same lines if I burn it to a DVD and play it on the TV

Download and install the "FFDirectShow" filter for the purpose of "Playback".
