    Very har wmv problem

    Dear Digital Video Gurus:

I've downloaded (and paid for) a .wmv file from MediaZone, which is copy protected -- I can watch it on my PC with Windows Media Player, but I want to convert it into some other format, and burn it to a CD, so that I can watch it anywhere.

I've tried out some video capture tools, but they all errored out, siting "bad format" or something similar. I tried the WM Recorder and ASF recorder, and a few others, none of them worked.

    Any ideas?

I'm fairly certain that, as is typical, you've paid for a LIMITED LICENSE to download and view this file ONLY in its original format and ONLY on the computer you used to download it.

It would be inappropriate to ask at these forums how to circumvent the Digital Rights Management copy protection that has been applied to this file...
