you need to capture it on your pc. i just bought a tv tuner card a week ago and use windows movie maker and tmpgenc/tmpgenc dvd author to put on dvd. much simpler than i thought it would be.

There several ways to do this. I bought AVerMedia DVD EZMaker. This is a system that let's you hook a VCR or analog vidio camera up to their little device, the other end of which hooks up to a USB port - must be 2.0.
There are also internal cards that let you do the same thing. Head over to Circuit City or Best Buy and you'll find something.

easiest way is to have a stand alone dvd recorder.
If you have a digital cam with video in/out you can use it to convert to dv and save to your hard-drive
