    Ulead audio problems

Hello all, newbie here.....no no don't leave I need your help!
I'm using Ulead mediastudio pro to create home movies of my kids. I use MPEG-4 for video compression and PCM for audio with good results but I would like to compress the audio to mp3 or wma. Ulead has both mp3 and wma as options in a pulldown that I can select but when I try it gives me an error saying "Unable to access the audio codec driver".
So my question is how do I install this driver? Is it free or do I have to buy it. It seems silly that it is selectable from the pulldown menu yet unavailable. If it is downloadable then how do I install it as a plugin for mediastudio pro 6.0.

    Thanks

    What O/S do you have - WinXP, Win2000, Win98?
