gee , i don't know. turn the speakers on?

a commercial dvd or a dvd YOU made?

what program is playing this dvd?

do you have sound otherwise on the pc?

does it play with sound on a standalone dvd player?

take a minute and provide detail.

can be either that you have no ac3 decoder / lpcm decoder working
            anymore , or too many....
my recommendation would be to uninstall ALL dvd displaying software and then use the codec sniper to kill ALL the ac3 decoders that are not given by encoding
software , such as nero or winavi!!! after doing this... reinstall your favourite
            dvd software.

as a matter of fact there might be a sound decoder problem...
            1. not available
            2. called to many

keep it simple!!! do not install to many codecs....
i said that 2 years ago... i guess
