whats wrong with dvd santa

hi im just wondering dose anyone know the best way to turn avi files into dvd i used dvd santa the picture was fine but the sound was not in time with the film anyone know how i can correct this

A proper encoder is always your best bet, such as TMPGEnc Encoder, or Mainconcept Encoder. Or for a freeware alternative, try Qu-Enc.

IMO dvd santa is not a very good piece of software. As stated above Tmpgenc Plus and mainconcept (my favorite for speed and quality) are two good choices, For freeware Dvd2svcd and VSO divx to dvd are two of the better programs IMO.

thanks for that i've got tmpgenc and tmpgenc author they work fine but 1hr30min of film nearly takes up the whole dvd disc space is there something else i need or am i doing something wrong

depending on the bitrate that isn't far from being wrong. Usually up to 2 hours per dvd.
