    svcd or vcd..a question

hi all, right here's my problem.i have a 780mb mpeg file with 75mins of audio..if i convert it to svcd or vcd format will that allow me to burn it to a 700mb cd even tho my file is bigger than the space on the cd.as i thought if it was converted to svcd it would burn it as there was 75 mins of audio and it would read the audio length instead of the video length or am i way off here

    any help would be grateful

If I understand you correctly, this is an audio-only MPEG file. If so, convert it to MP3 and burn it to a CD-R...

      I'm stupid

      Hey,
Why would someone recording music use a "Video CD"? VCD. If you have a movie file in .mpg format. You should try using TMPGEnc to convert it to the desired quality/size. I have used it a few times to convert divx files. You kinda have to just try quality levels to get the desired files size. The prog only lasts 30 days. I think it's just a reg thing. You can prob crack it.
