Genric.org is a great site thats for the link "jmet"
My printer is a cheapy I bought at Sears for like $29.00 US Dollars. It is a HP Deskjet 3745. The paper I was using was HP Everyday Semi-Gloss photo paper. It was only 8.5" X 11" though and it would cut the edge of the DVD cover off when printing. So then I went with some HP multipurpose 8.5" X 14", I now get the full DVD cover but, the quality of the paper is lower. Still looks great though.

These are the 3 best cover sites on the net.

They are all pay sites but you won't get better covers anywhere else.

@jmet. You should get yourself an Epson R300 and print your labels direct to the disc. They look loads better than sticky labels.

My old Epson was great for covers. However, the ink kept drying out all the time. I now use a HP 960 which is great for ink but isn't as good for covers.

I use Glossy paper and the black is more like between dark grey and black. If I don't have much black then the covers look great. For black coloured covers I use normal paper which looks fine.

I use a bit of software that prints the covers at the exact size I want. I use 3, 6 and 8 disc cases. The software can adjust itself to print the right size for those cases as well.

Right now, none of my disc have labels. I just use a black sharpie to write on them.

nwg, what is this "bit of software" you are referring to?

I use it to print covers for SVP (blankdiscshop) DVD cases.

It is called Easy Media Cover. You just load the graphic, select the correct case and print away.

Thank you very much nwg! I will give it a try tonight.

Did you have to set any special settings?

Edit: I just printed my first cover using that program, it still cuts off the edge of the right hand side of the cover. I think I need to over ride the margin settings.

What size cover? I have done single, double, six and eight disc covers ok. I had the same problems when printing from PSP or Photoshop. I did have the problem again on one ten disc case. That is the only one though.

From the front screen it is possible to adjust printer settings. I have it 300dpi. There is also a custom setting from the front screen to adjust the templates and change margins.

All these covers were printed using the software and put in eight disc cases.
