Merging subtitles into an AVI file

In " Syncronizing and merging subtitles into an AVI file" I'm losing the format of the font (e.g. Tahoma, 18 Bold, yellow) defined in Subcreator when I merge the subtitle in Virtualdub. The font is no longer yellow and the font seems smaller. Can I change the font properties in Virtualdub or what can I do to keep the font properties defined in Subcreator?
