how to avoid a loss of lossiness...

I am working on a video project using the very lo-res MPEG-1 videos that my digital photo camera makes. I am try to emphasize the pixelation & "lossiness" that the camera has. Unfortunately when I try to edit these videos in any editting software, or when I try to put them onto DVD, the software tends to recompress the image, and strangely, a lot of my little pixels go away. How can I avoid this? Someone suggested doing a screen capture video of the entire project...would this work? Does anyone have any other ideas?

    Thanks!

You could try womble products. They accept mpeg files and create a lossless output as no re-encoding is done (except for a few frames around bits that are cut out).

They have a 30 day trial of both MPEG-VCR and MPEG Video Wizard. I would try Video Wizard as it a better product.
