DVD Slideshow of JPEGS

I hope this is relevant for this forum.
I want to create a slideshow of some JPEGS I have that can be played through a DVD player, burn as DVD format.
Is anyone familar with software that can do this?

I have seen some programs that look quite involved. All I need to do is something like a PowerPoint presentation, no sound, just some easy transitions and have the whole thing loop continuously.

i believe you can simply burn a data DVD disc with the jpeg's and most newer players will play them as a slide show (mine can). i know for certain it works with cd-r's. try an rw disc.

Yeah my DVD will skip through the images when it is data on a CDR, but i want to be able to have transistions - make it look a bit nicer.
there is some packages out there that let you put sound to them, movement and text for each image. will check these out.

i had the same problem last days.Needed it for my "rare" Milla Jovovich picture collection .Found some nice software (sorry for not offering you any freeware solution but try)

I have a friend who swears by WinDVD Creator 2 Platinum for this sort of stuff. I have seen his output and it looks just great. He mixed in an MP3 over the top, created menus and it was fantastic. He is mainly using it to put home movies on DVD, so it might be over the top for just JPEGs.

It is commercial (yecch) but has a free trial. See here.

ZZ-Diego tried PixPLay which was good but I couldnt work out how to create a menu, I dont think that was a feature. As for Milla if you ever put it online and want someones feedback let me know!
I found an excellent product ProShow Gold which is excellent, heaps of features am trialling that at the moment.
