    Reducing mpeg video size

    Hey all,

I have a 101 MB mpeg vid that I need to reduce to something a lot more managable, as it'll be streamed from a website.

    Any suggestions for progs?

    Thanks!

    Hi!

If it's MPEG2 use TMPGEnc to convert to MPEG1 at lower bitrates.

If it's MPEG1 use VirtualDub or VirtualDubMOD to convert to DivX/AVI.

I agree. mpeg 4 is the way to go for website projects. much smaller filesize and you can retain good video quality

Actually, I found Windows Media Encoder. Great prog so far and free!
