Has Anyone Heard Of This DVD Test Tool?

A few months ago I was at a site that had some graphs of various DVD testing utilities. One pic was a graphic representation of a disk showing where the errors were on the surface. This would certainly help me in finding sources of CRC errors on damaged disks.

Does anyone know what this testing utility is?

I have both and I havn't come across this tool in either.... but there are some tests in Nero Speed where I get errors there's no disk. Which test are you thinking of?

I'm assuming all it is, is a CRC or PIE test but the errors are graphed on to a representation of a disk... instead of a grid.

The Nero Scandisk test presents the results like DVD InfoPro... on a grid.

The tool I'm looking for provides an image of the disk surface... and shows you where on the disk surface the errors are physically located.

Sorry, but I don't know of such a tool. But itwould be handy to see what track the error might be on.

The only other test utility I know of is K-probe, but it does not give a circular output either.

I suspect that I saw this tool in an article at www.xbitlabs.com. I went though articles and finally wrote them. But I've received no response yet.

This is for Plextors but could he mean PxScan. It can output a .bmp or .png of results I think. I have a Plextor PX-716UF but never tried PxScan.
