Cut a definite selection of a movie

hi,
my question is:

It's possible to cut out a part of a movie. I mean not a part like from frame x to frame y. I mean it more like in the way you can cut a definite part out of a picture. e.g. the eyes from a face in a movieclip.

help would be great!

Hi logic2004!

With TMPGenc 3.0 Xpress you can set your start/end frames and use the crop function.

(Filter>crop)

Unfortunately it's not freeware but give the 14 day freely usable trial a whirl

2COOL mentioned a nice freeware app called ScreenHunter, it does full screen, selective areas and a timed capture. I like it. Here is 2COOLS post about it.

hi migsy,

I'm not so familar with Tmpeg. Just used it to make mvcd's to get more than 700 mb on one disk.

But I got it with adobe after effects.

1) New composition with the size of your desired movie
2) import the mainmovie
3) drag it into the new composition frame and move it like you want
4) rendering

that's it......
