How Do You Convert Digital TV Recordings to DVDs

I'm interested in converting a digital TV Program I recorded on my PC to a DVD. I'm getting a that the program is protected. Can anyone help me?

digita tv captures are generally dvd-compliant. simply use a dvd authoring program such as "tmpgenc dvd author" to turn your mpeg into dvd compatible files (VOBs, IFO, BUPs), and burn with program of your choice

When I try and convert the program, a message comes up that the program is protected.

Create CD/DVD in Windows Media Edition.

Some of the the programs I've recorded are "Copy Protected"... I would like to convert these to a DVD.

will these decrypt the copy protection?

i'm not so sure there is any copy protection at all... just a microsoft problem

does this happen with ALL recordings?

if you recorded the clip yourself, there should be no reason why you cannot convert/author them...

The info on the show recording, says that it's "copy protected". When I go to burn a DVD, the same info comes up.

I can't even watch the "copy protected" program on my networked laptop.

These programs are recorded from a digital cable box.

It doesn't happen on ALL recordings, just the copy protected ones.

I tried the items you suggested and no luck. I believe it has to do with Media Center on copy protected programs. I want to be able and record a dvd so I can play them on my big screen TV... Any other suggestions?
