    Mpeg-2 codec

    I've converted a video to mpeg-2 using TMPGEnc and i want to make sure it's just rite before i burn it but i can't view it and i can't seem to find a codec.... if anyone could find me a codec it would be appreciated

    i half fixed my own problem.... i downloaded windvd and now it playes the video... but there is no sound... what shall i do?!?!?

      Downloading and installing WinDVD should have resulted in the required video and audio codecs being installed. Perhaps you've unwittingly created a silent video. Play it under WinDVD. Select "Properties". Click on the "Audio" tab. What does it indicate?

        hmmm i just tried converting a different video and it worked fine!!! just with this 1 video it doesn't work... (i tried doing a little section of it over and over again... and still no sound) the avi version has sound tho (mpeg layer 3 141kbps)
