    fix frozen frames

i need a program that fixes frozen frames in divx files. The only program i found ended up starting to decompress the entire video which is 40 minutes long into an uncompressed avi and i don't want that because i don't have enough HD space for it....

If anyone had a divx frame fixer thingy then please give me a link

Virtualdub may allow you to remove these frozen frames from the movie. You can also check the avi for errors. Alternatively, this may be due to insufficient processing power (if your system is old).

i have found a temporary solution

-copy the avi up to the error (direct streem copy)
-copy the error (direct streem copy)
-copy after the error (direct streem copy)
-remove the error from the 2nd section by using a program that also uncompresses it
      -recompress the fixed section
-put all 3 sections back together

as you can see i have improvised and been able to fix it without decompressing the whole video but it takes alot of effort and if anyone has a program that fixes these types of errors without decompressing the whole video or doing it the long way it would be greatly appriciated

I think you haven't met the likes of DivFix.
