first you need to decide how much you want to spend, and also how much space you have for this thing. how big do you want it? flat screen? plasma? you can spend a lot of dough if you want..

we cannot recommend a tv with the little info you've given us...

give budget, type (lcd, crt, plasma), size, hdtv-ready (or not), etc

a good place to check out http://www.dtvforum.info

The hd is important now. I'm not the biggest fan of the projections but alot of my friends swear by them. I went all out and got the Fujitsu 42" and I neveer looked back. I love the plasmas now and won't go back, it costs pretty big though. I saw a 60" for 15k in Bestbuy the other day, expensive but I was salivating the whole time I was near it. and yes, they did ask me to leave the store.http://www.plasmavision.com/home_the...isplays_30.htm

I bought this one recently. Nice price tag and great picture quality. It also has some type of built in system (Matrix Surround Sound) that gives the effect of surround sound and its pretty effective at reproducing the surround sound experience. What else can I say, I flippin' love the thing.

You should be happy with that TV, and it will display video games like nobody's business(yes). Just remember, to prevent burn-in when playing games, don't leave your console paused for any length of time, or if you do turn of the TV.
