Server Problems

The server hosting this forum has been experiencing high load these last few days, so the server may have been down from time to time. Even without the current out of the normal high load, the forum was always a little too big for the current server, and load was always relatively high compared to my other servers, especially during peak usage hours.

I'm thinking about moving the forum to a much better server that is under-used at the moment, and willl probably make the move sometime later today. This could mean that the forum could be down for several hours, so I will apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused.

thanx for the heads up admin. i couldn't get on mon evening, after 3-4 seperate attempts. that explains the trouble i had. thought it was me.

Do we now need to log in at http://server1.dvdloc8.com/forum.digital-digest.com/ or just the old log in?

The old one works for me.

If you go to forum.digital-digest.com and the forum is open, then it means you are on the new server and you can log in normally. Otherwise, you are still seeing the old server, and you have to wait until the DNS/IP address change takes place (the exact time for this depends on where you are and also if your ISP has cached DNS). Once this takes places all around the world (anywhere from an hour to a day), you can then use the forum normally just like before, but hopefully everything will be a little bit faster.

working great...auto log-on just like before. didn't have to do a thing.
