Can you provide a link? I would be interested.

I own both a Epson and a CASIO. I do my daughter's with the Casio as the DVD's are water proof,(I wash the finger prints off with detergent and water). And I do some of mine with the Epson. Sharpie also work for the "labeled" dvd's.

I have over 250 movies backed up on DVD. The first 50 backups I applied Neato or Sure Thing labels scanned from the originals. That was about a year ago. Recently I attempted to make copies of some of my backups. I got read errors in Nero Recode and DVD Shrink on about half the ones containing labels. The one's with labels produced no errors. I soaked the one's with labels in warm soapy water and lifted the labels off. This stopped the read errors and I was able to copy every one of them.

How much more proof does anyone need that labels should not be applied to DVD's?

I have over 1,500 music CDR's that contain labels. Some of them are seven (7) years old. They are not affected by the labels. It only seems to have a negative affect on DVD's.

Did you mean the ones WITHOUT labels?

            Hi Everyone,

I use the printable DVD's and the Epson R300 to print them. They look great and I've had no problems at all playing them.

I use to use the stickies... bad idea there,.. then I went to sharpies... but I really like the setup I have now.

Just thought I'd throw my 2 cents in on this one!!

            Thanks.

With three children in the house, the youngest of which being four, I have found that labels work great to ensure that the dvd gets back into the proper case. I have used several different types of labels and have had no problems with playback in player or reading for backing up again. My favorites are probably NCR's cd labels. They also have a website that you can down load templates from.

I have no problems at all with my labeled DVDs. Those are unplayable, I think they aren't pressed down properly on the labels, especially the edges.
