MPC to gtsdll or not to gtsdll

I just recently downloaded the Media Player Classic 6.4.8.7 and in the options it has a connection to download gtsdll 1.2.6.9 (modded) or gtsdll 1.2.6.9 v3 (zipped).Now obviously this is to enhance MPC.(a) how does it do that and do I need it and (b)Which one???Soup out.

MPC has 1 new visible feature in this release, it allows you to send the 'now playing' list through mIRC, so that the person you are chatting to on the other end can see what you're curently playing. its needed for that, and unless you use that function, you have no use for that dll
