    Sound quality

    Hi everyone.
Can anyone give me a hint what's wrong with my sound.
On DVDrips it sounds like in empty room with some sort of echo.
I use C-Media Xear 3D and it seems to be independent of audio codec. On PC stereo it is bearable but makes almost impossible watching it on TV.
    Thanks.

What software are you using to rip DVDs? Do all of you movies sound weird when you play them on your standalone player? Could be a surround sound setting on your standalone player. Never ran across this problem with sound before.

Used avi2dvd2 and super dvd ripper and have ready one from friends.
No difference between '3D' and 'none' settings.

AVI2DVD2? I'm not familiar with this program. Are you using this program to re-encode AVI's back to DVD format(to make IFO, BUP and VOBs)? If that is what you're doing, the sound could be getting hollowed by getting uncompressed depending upon how compressed the AVI was encoded originally.
