A really strange question about DVD playback

hey

i was wondering if there was any software player that could you let play dvd's with the possibility of using srt or sub subtitles files, so that way if a subtitle file wasnt available on the original dvd than this achieved this way, ...

It would really help me out, because I imported a lot of foreign dvd's without any subtitles on it ....

haven't tried this myself in these conditions, but

use 'media player classic', open the dvd with it, while its playing the movie, under 'file' click 'load subtitles'

dunno how well it works, if at all

Download BSplayer , it can even load separate Video and audio files apart from the subs (i.e your reqirement)

MPC can load all from different files, i've just never tried with a dvd
