Hey Chewy, Thanks a lot.

I got the computer package for $200, a 200GB Seagate internal for $30, a free can of air, and a 25 pack of TDK 4x DVD+RW for 8 bucks (They didn't have the compusa brand in stock so they substituted the TDK's).

It turns out the computer comes with a BenQ DVD DC DQ60 which apparently is a DL and RAM burner. Even comes with 8 in one reader and a optical mouse! Computer, speakers, Monitor, and Canon printer for 200 bucks. WOW.

What did you end up getting?
The Drive has a logo that says DVD3 (DVD CUBED?) Does anyone know what that means?

I didn't see any mention of hacked Firmware though. I did upgrade to the newest official firmware.

still not sure what the heck it really is, doubt there will be hacked firmware,
with the newer firmware it is capable of adequate burning
