    a problem

    hello all.
I seem to have a problem. I installed a codec pack called nimo codec pack because I couldnt view svcd:s with windows media player. The svcd:s now work fine, but some avi's that i have downloaded since then have played oddly, like at double speed. They play on double speed on wmp and realplayer, and quictime refuses to play them at all (unsupported format etc).
I tried removing the nimo codec pack, but apparently uninstalling it didn't help because the svcd:s still work but some of the avi's dont.

There are the details for a not-working file.
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me

oh yeah, forgot to mention that the sound still plays normal even though the picture plays faster, meaning that it lags behind quite a bit

Although it may very well prove to be a file in .AVI format, there is nothing listedunder the "Details" tab to confirm this. You can possibly obtain (and post here) more inofrmation about this file by doing the following:

      1) Load it into VirtualDub

      2) From under the "File" dropdown menu, select "File Information"

      3) Post (here) EVERYTHING listed (video and audio information0, or post a screen capture .jpg of the information box
      ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

By the way, I'm sure that you are viewing either MPEG1, MPEG2, or VCDs with Windows Media Player, since it's not capable of playing SVCDs...

Try loading the file into VirtualDub and changing the audio frequency to 44,100Hz.

Make certain to set "Video" to "Direct Stream Copying" and "Audio" to "Full Processing Mode"
