    "Remember me?" is not working

    hi all.

the option "remember me?" after the username is not working for me and i don't know what i'm doing wrong.what i have to do?

another question (to don't open a new thread) :
when i'm logged, reading or posting i'm logged out few minutes later.
it happens always when i'm posting! means that i'm slow to write or the time to stay logged is really short?

    thanks!

Along with what Cambion said, your browser may be automatically erasing your cookies.

Jmet may be able to tell if your browser is set to automatically kill cookies, but I've attached piccies of where to check. In the lower right corner of the browser window do you see a red dot with a white line? (See photo 1) If so you're blocking cookies. Just click on Tools from within IE6 then Internet Options. Select the Privacy Tab and click on the Sites button and enter

            digital-digest.com

then click ALLOW and 'OK' yourself all the way out of this.

Let us know if that helps.

no,don't have red dot, only the "globe" with a word "internet"!
and from the option like the jmet screenshot my list is empty. nothing blocked or allowed like jmet list. IE is adjusted in default mode(all options).

Which default mode is it set? Try Medium security level (on the security tab). Are you running any security software that may have cookie blocking options set?

Though, because you aren't seeing the red dot on the lower-right corner that is making me think maybe a security program has a cookie blocking option set.

Okay, still if you are having problems with cookies after adding the site to your allow list, try going back into Internet Options, delete files, including offline (this is on the general tab), then click delete cookies. What this will do is ensure you flush all old data, and give a chance for fresh files to be loaded. It's worth a shot. After this I'll be at a loss for words.

IMO, a better method than that suggested by drf is to click "advanced", tick override auto cookie handling, accept all 1st party cookies, block all 3rd party ones and always allow session cookies.
