    Standard DVD format for Europe

    Does anyone know what is the standard format for europe's dvd's

    i made a project in after effects, exported it in to avi format (DV Pal 25fps)
    is this the right file format.

    or is the PAL dvd standerd mpeg 2

    can anyone answer this. with full details ( what i should do next if i am wrong and with software should i use to correct this problem if there is any)

    i have adobe aftereffects 6.5/premiere pro 1.5

      PAL DVD is MPEG 2 at 720 x 576 resolution. Other's possible are 704 x 576 and 352 x 288. It is better to stick with 720.

      PAL has a frame rate of 25 fps.

      To be totally faithful to the spec it requires Dolby Digital or MPEG audio (only on older PAL DVD's now).

          thx bro thx for the help
          it's already on 720 x 576, now i only need to convert it to mpeg (+ audio)
