    Messed up dv capture !

    captured using mainconcept dvc pro, somhow the captured file is showing 34 fps thus horribly out of sync, iv tried doing few steps all to nothing so iv now seperated video and audio using virtual dub.
    changed video to 25 fps, now the problem is my video length is way too much then audio.

    video = 49 min
    audio = 36 min

    iv tried expanding audio and shrinking video using speed but to no avail as if i try to sync in the start the video will go out of sync later.

    how to solve it

    also if anyone knows how this happened, 34 fps.

    [iv stupid enough to erase the dv tape for further use withut actually checking capture so cant re-capture]

    use "besweet", with the "belight" GUI, re-encode the demuxed audio to whatever format you wish, but make sure you click 'advanced settings' , there will be an option: convert framerate from..

    though some might like vdub's 'change framerate so audio and video durations match' function, but that changes the video framerate, so i don't consider it an option, especially when there is such an enormous difference in lengths.

      ok Anonymez either i didnt understand or its not working...... let me explain again......

      my captured dv-avi file is already outof sync,
      then i found its fps is 34 rather then 25 [pal]
      now if i load my avi in vdub and change framerate to 25 its still the same , i.e out of sync,
      i seperated the video and audio , then change the video to 25 fps.
      but then i got very big differences in lenghts of audio n video.

      now lets come to besweet it took my wav file and i got same length file that is 35 min.

      now can i do any thing to make the video in sync?

      1: i got orignal dv-avi file [34 fps]
      2: i got seperated video , audio files using vdub [untouched 36 mins].
      3: i have seperate video file that is converted to 25 fps [49 mins]

        when encoding the audio, make sure you set the "convert framerate from.." to 34000 (or whatever is the exact value vdub gives you) to 25000

        your lengths should match now, just mux

          no sir it just dont want to be corrected i guess
          file before and after transcoding are same length, just little smaller sized after transcoding, cause it changed to 44100 Hz somhow [iv checked 48000].
