Hi I am using dvd shrink with great success....I rip.........I Burn.........I play in my new stand alone dvd player.

But there's alaway a but why do they not play on my laptop or desktop which riped/burned them.

I put the dvd in the drive, and it only let me look at the flie, click on it and I get the audio_ts and video_rs file of which the audio is empty and the video is ful of somethink that i do not understand and will not open in the way i wish it would can you help. this is so i can watch some of the dvd i ahve copied in bed on a bigger screen the the portable dvd player.

do you have power dvd? or nero show time right click on the video then play it with one, audio always show empty but dont delete it

not sure botht the laptop or dells so they have there own player softwear and win media player. so where do i get power dvd or nero show time, and are the free, and can i copy it to a disk to send it to my dad so he can use his laptop to watch dvd i send him(he only has a laptop)

mine are dell and both come with it, I dont know about yours.

ok find it when i open it it does not see the dvd in the drive. when i go to my computer it has a load of numbers not he title of the dvd Why?

i am updating power dvd my be if the is the frist time using it it needs a update will try this a see if it works.

do you know of a free dvd player i can download and put on a disk fpr dad?

I've done the update not sure what that did but hay.
power dvd still will not see the dvd inthe drive. if i put in a new dvd it plays stright away.
If i put in a copy dvd it still will not see it, why?

What type of disc are you trying to play? And are you putting the disc back in the burner, or a DVD-ROM drive?
