Target error

I was backing up a dvd when this error came up and i'm not sure what it means. help please!!

DVD shrink encountered an error and cannot continue

There is not enough space on your target drive.

How do I fix this problume?

This means that the disc either A: did not shrink down to 4464 MB, or B: there is no disc in the drive that you specified, and you have to put one in.

Fix it by either A: removing unwanted audio languages to get the movie to fit to 4464 MB, or B: specify another drive, or put a disc in the drive.

Or, this means that the hard drive you specified does not have enough space, which can be fixed by burning/deleting unneccesary files.

how do i remove files and how do i know what ones to remove?

start by removing foreign languages or one of the two english sounds like 5.1 or the other if there is two which is usually what it is when your over a disc size

the message i am also getting is
space required: 4,464 MB
space available in folder: 4,375 MB

just tried to remove the english 5.1 and got the same mess. I just got this burnner i was using a different one but a dvd blew it up when i was coping it so after the 2nd time i thought i would try another brand and then this is going on what to try now?

well remove more to get less then 4375 or , compress it some with the custom ratio compression

this is a no-brainer silly, he don't have enough closet space for the new clothes he's buying. delete things on your HD to free up space or compress your project accordingly. read this FAQ by cynthia regarding the norton if you have it too.

haha well I didn't think that's what he was doing , I have about 400 gig's of space I don't realize some ppl only have 4.3 gig's of space *blushes*

Thank you i just needed to delete so things from my hard drive thanks LT. columbo and everyone else.
I think it is neat that you all help people like this I really thank you. I'm not good at all this stuff i just learn as i go so thanks a lot.
