      I´m satisfied now

      Sorry, missed all the discussion.

I can only say that I´m satisfied with the answers and from now on will spend my life knowing that my DVD gives a wonderful 5.1 experience.

      Thanks

I agree, buying a HTS is easy, choosing and placing the speakers is another ballgame altogether. I spent 2 months studying the placement of speakers/tweaking of a HTS, even got the TV room changed due to it, before I could set it up.

I don't know if anyone posted this, but you can get that third rear speaker using an old Pro Logic amp, if you have one laying around. Set the amp to "3 channel logic" . If your DolbyDigital amp has line out for the rear channels feed them into the input of your old ProLogic amp. Set your Old Prologic amp to "3 Channel Logic" and the signal from the Digital amp will be decoded by the ProLogic amp. You will be using the Prologic amp to drive your rear speakers. If your DolbyDigital amp does not have line out for the rear speakers you must convert the speakers output to line level to avoid impedance problems and the possibility of blowing the circuits to both amps. The center speaker is carried on the left and right rear channels of the DolbyDigital amp, the setup can extrapolate the center speaker from these signals. It is a cheap way to find out if you want a 3rd rear speaker
