    Splitting large video files...help please!

I'm using TPNGen to convert and author all my video files. A bunch of my movies are too big to fit onto the disks I have and I was hoping someone could tell me how I could easily split them into part one and part two before converting (or after if thats easier)

    Thanks

first of all, are you making mpeg-1 (vcd) or mpeg-2 (dvd)?

no need to split anything before the encode. you just simply select the "source range" of the clip you wish to encode. have a look at the very last screenshot of this guide. you won't be dealing with the audio, but what i'm talking about is set in that same window. just set your start/end points>cut editing>cut all but currently selected area>are you sure...>answer yes. then carry on with the rest of tmpgenc set-up.

i'll help you if you should require further assistance.
