tivo to standalone DVD recorder question

would someone please explain step by step how to record tivo series 2 programs onto a standalone DVD recorder? thx a lot ahead of time! kib...

Erm... plug the RCA cables in the Video Out on the TiVo and Video In on the recorder. Be sure you can see the TiVo (plug the recorder into the TV), and just press "Copy to VCR" on the TiVo, and Record on the recorder. Then wait.

Or you can just hit Play but you might get that status bar in the way... not sure I don't have a TiVo. Just watched my friend do it.

Also, set the quality settings, use SP for 2 hours of recording, use XP (or HQ) for 60mins, or for really long recordings, use EP, which gives you 6hrs.

SP is what most DVDs use.
