    Codec help

    I have recently downloaded a codec (the "SMR" codec i think is what did it) well, anyway it didn't fix my problem, plus now some of my videos don't work proporly. i hear the sound, but the picture is is just big blocks of color. what could be wrong, and how can i fix it. The problem may not be codec related, but i think it is

          it sometimes is the codec coz i ad the same problem when i istalled the smr codec coz it stuff's up certain movies i cant seem to watch them with windows media player, and ive installed over 10 different codecs and still have viewing problems, but the best way to watch them movies is through the player in kazza or morpheus etcf coz then i could play any movie even the ones i couldnt play under media player.
