Hello there!
3 years ago I purchased a Panasonic home theather, which included a DVD-RV32 player. By the end of 2004, the DVD player had problems with the spindle motor, so it had to be replaced.
A few months after replacing this part on the DVD player, I experienced a minor pause, or freeze, at the same point, on almost any DVD which I own, and with rented discs I noticed pixelation/dropped or broken audio problems. This pixelation problem happened with two brand new discs. One had to be replaced inmediately, but the other one, which was bought a few days ago, was tested on a Sony DVP-NS575P player, and it worked pretty good (flawlessly). So now, I don't know what is going on.
Do you think it could be problems with the optical pick up of the Panasonic DVD player, like replacing it or having it upgraded? Or, could be a problem with the disc?
This is something that has never happened to me before. I noticed this on rented discs, and as I said it before, two brand new discs. The most common thing, after replacing the spindle motor on the player, was the minor pause or freeze while running a disc.
Thanks!
