Thoughts on Xvid codec

I was just wondering what peoples thoughts were on the Xvid codec compared to the Divx codec?

Qualitywise there is not much difference, in my opinion the primary attraction to xvid is that the developers are a lot more open about what they are doing with the codec. And it offers some very interresting options, so if you like to experiment give it a try.
