    Divx 5 encoding

I would like to ask a couple of things about the Divx 5 codec.

Is it worth encoding with Divx 5 if you are not using the professional version (I have choosen not to as I dont want adware on my PC)?

Are there any good guides out there for encoding with Dvix 5 and what all the features mean and recomended settings for them?

Are there any bitrate calcs out there for use with Divx 5?

Is Divx 5 really that much better for compression and quality over Divx 3 and 4?

Without the pro features divx5 is almost identical to divx4, there is a guide on divx5 at www.doom9.org, and for a full explanation of all the features take a look at http://www.divx.com/support/divx/guide.php

As for bitrate calculators, any divx4 calculator works just fine.

As for the quality difference between divx3, 4 and 5 thats for you to decide.
Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.
