when i try to open an avi movie it comes up and says "could not locate decompressor for format div3 " it says it requires a video for windows, could someone please help me out??

Use the codec wizard from afreecodec.com to find out which codecs you need to play the file: http://www.codecwizard.com/ -
you could either
1. install the divx codec
OR
2. download & install ffdshow from http://ffdshow.sourceforge.net/tikiw...etting+ffdshow then go start-->programs-->ffdshow-->vfw codec configuration-->decoders, change "divx 3`" from disabled to "libavcodec"Last edited by anonymez; 18 Feb 2006, 07:57 AM."What were the things in Gremlins called?" - Karl Pilkington
