    Get Unlimited Use of StreamDown

StreamDown is a shareware program that can download streaming files onto your hard drive. However, it has a 15-day trial limit. But, using only the installers you can get unlimited use of it.

    You will need:
The current installer (from the official page)
    An older version (version 2.8)

NOTE: Do NOT install version 2.8 first or you will NEVER be able to get unlimited use.

    How to do it:

First, install the current version. Use it for 15 days. In order to advance to the next step, the 15 days MUST be up. It will then say something like "your trial has expired".

Step 2: Go to the Control Panel, and Add/Remove Programs. Uninstall StreamDown.

Step 3: Install version 2.8. This should look like this when done correctly:

Congrats, you have now bypassed the trial!
I am no programmer, but I think the way the program works, is that it says if the number of days left = 0, stop counting and lock up. When installing 2.8, it starts automatically, but from 0. It then reaches -1 days and you can use it. It will never again reach 0 so it will therefore never lock up.

Moderators, if this is somehow a violation of the rules, please let me know before just locking the thread, so that I can delete it. However, it shouldn't be, as there is no cracked software, both installers are CoCSoft genuine installers, I just found a bug in their programming and thought I would share it.

It catches the URL for streaming audio and video, for which you could then use something like FlashGet to download. It's a handy nifty utility.

Actually, only the new one does that. Using this method, you are downgrading, and that does not come with the "Msniffer". Use the guide I wrote on downloading streaming media - it works perfectly! And, StreamDown can download the streams too.

But otherwise, yeah, that's what StreamDown is for. It's gotta be one of the most underrated programs IMHO. (Other than Ulead that is)

FlashGet is supposed to be freeware, isn't it?

If you use Firefox, get the free FlashGot plugin, and click "FlashGot all", it will add all links to FlashGet.
