    a film transfer from cd-r disc to dvd-r disc

    hi guys i wonder if you could help me , a relative has given me some film footage of the family which has been transfered onto a cd-r disc (52x), i would like to copy it onto a dvd disc so i can burn more of for other family members.i have dvd shrink,dvd fab and decripter.any help would be appreciated and simple terminalogy for a simpleton please .

    what format are the file(s) on the cd-r? mpg (VCD)?, avi (data form)?

      there are 3 files the first titled EXT which contains list_x.vcd,psd_x.vcd,the second file is titled mpegav which contains AVSEQ01.DAT. the third file titled VCD which contains entries vcd,info.vcd,lot.vcd,dsd.vcd.so with this info i persume vcd fomat.

        yes ok. so we know it's a vcd. copy and paste the dat file(s) within "mpegav" onto your hd. then right click>properties and change the extension to.mpg click yes to the warning message. open the file(s) in virtualdub/MOD and post what the frame rate is under file>file information.
