    wanting to buy new dvd burner help deciding please what do u have how do u like it internal or xternal thanks

    This is related on your needs.

    If you need to have a burner in various places (i.e both at office and at home), then an external one is your choice. If you need it only in one place, the best option is an internal one.

    If you don't have free IDE slots on your computer, then again the external one can be your choice, but I suggest you to avoid external drives, because have an higher probability to give problems.

    I suggest you to buy an internal drive. If you don't have IDE slots available, the best solution is to buy a PCI controller and move your HD on controller and use IDE slots on mainboard for your optical devices.

    I suggest you to not plug burners on PCI controllers: most of them don't manage correctly ATAPI because their primary use is for HD.
