    I had a major time with my dvd burner freezing up (hanging, apparantly) the computer about 10% into the encrypting process for a long time, went thru your steps to fixing the problem and it was actually the secondary cable being plugged into the burner. BOY HOW DUMB AM I RIGHT?!

    anyway, thanks guys

          no doubt.
          I am still a newbie here.
          i think after i backup 100 discs and can figure out my own problems then ill be experianced. but so far no problems but who knows what tomarow will bring.
