from video camera to pc!!!

hy all
i ve just bought a new vga card with video in and i am wondering how i can copy from a video camera to the HDD....
How does it work???
Do i need a programm or is there something in Win XP included that does it???
I know RTFM
but the F..ing manual of the card doesnt mension how its supposed to work!!!

Windows Movie Maker.But I won't endorse it.Try WinDV.It is freeware.
