Playing DVD's on computer and showing it on TV?

Hello. We have just rented some movies from Blockbuster and are trying to play them on my gaming machine (using the gaming machines logitech 5500's) yet show the movie on our TV.

I put the video out from my 6800gt to the tv. I have every codec imaginable I think. I play videos from my computer's HD to my TV all the time but have never tried a DVD.

    Can anyone help?

The DVD shows on the monitor but the TV just shows a very dark blue screen, no video.

    Thank you!

I figured it out. I couldn't have "Clone" on at the same time. You must set the TV as the main device. I have no clue why. Prob a problem w/ nVidia.

It has to do with overlays, this happens at school as well. Can't help you there.

nope. limitation of overlay mixer. either use vmr or, as you have already done, set tv to primary display :^)
