Can FFDshow process Quicktime video?

I thought I'd done everything right in integrating FFDshow into the Zoom Player Pro but I could never get the On Screen Display to come on. But then I switched from Quicktime .mov files to an mpeg file and suddenly FFDshow came to life and eveything worked.

So do I need a plugin to be able to process .mov files? Is this a settings issue?

guess you mean QT AVC. start-->programs-->ffdshow-->decoder configuration. go down the codec list to H264 and set it to libavcodec :^)

you'll probably also want "quicktime alternative"

Thanks for responding. I already had H264 set for labavcodec...

What's this "quicktime alternative"... is it a setting?

According to the description the QT alternative allows one tp play QT video without the official QT viewer. But I have that viewer... and the QT files play fine in the Zoom player. It's just that FFDshow isn't kicking in with the QT files as it does when I play an mpeg file.

BTW I do have raw video set for support all.

try setting SQV1 & 3 in video decoder configuration to libavcodec
