    VCD has choppy audio

I made a 720 x 480 MPEG with DVDx and everything plays back fine on Media Player, when I started to burn it on Nero as a VCD, it came with a warning error saying it was invalid in someform being 720x480. I told it to ignore it and burn anyway. The video looks great on the DVD player, but the sound is kinda choppy. All I have is a VCD playing DVD player. From what I've understood, it shouldn't be a problem, because I don't mind multiple discs to get the great resolution. Is there a way to encode it (settings) with DVDx to where the audio plays right?

It could be a couple of problems. Some DVD players don't like resoultions over 480x480. You can also try dropping your write speed down to 1x and see what happens.

In light of the fact that the video doesn't appear to be the problem, I'm going to guess that you've recorded the audio at a sampling rate of 48,000Hz.

If my speculation is correct, try reducing the frequency to 44,100Hz...
